17 August 2017, MAKATI. Charlie’s Pritchon ® and Pedro Brewcrafters held a dinner featuring the original Pritchon and its 5 sauces paired with a selection of Pedro artisan beers. Four Pedro craft beers – Endless Summer Wheat Ale; Procrastination Pale Ale; Elementary, English Ale; and Wandering Wonderer India Pale Ale – were matched with Charlie’s Pritchon ® wraps with white garlic (garlic aioli), Chili Tagalog (soy chili), liver, hoisin and honey mustard sauces. Other offerings from Charlie’s menu such as Charlie’s Pritchopabo (turkey cooked prepared using their trademark deep-fried method and served
with its own complement of sauces), Norwegian Salmon with Pesto, Charlie’s Tuyo Pasta, and Paella were also enjoyed by guests.
On hand were Charlie and Dina Esguerra who talked about the history of their culinary groundbreaking fried lechon de leche. They touched on the proprietary cooking process that results in a perfectly-cooked pig with crisp skin that retains its crunch for a significant period of time. The couple
also described the Pritchon Service Concept where wait-staff come to the event to personally cut up and serve Pritchon wraps and let guests mix and match sauces.
Nadine Howell-Fanlo of Pedro Brewcrafters recommended beer pairings that complemented each of the Charlie’s Pritchon sauces. She also talked about her company’s recent achievements, current offerings and future plans.
It was a unique event that showcased the spirit of collaboration of two culinary companies who strive to give their customers only the very best.
